Family queen room was okay, the beds were comfy. The owner was lovely. Also, it's located just 1 km from crow wood golf club. We greatly enjoyed our stay
The breakfast staff was helpful, good food.
Big rooms, parking. The bed was great, we really enjoyed it. Besides, we parked the car on site. Had breakfast for 9.95 gbp per person per day.
Freindly staff, Good food and a good sized room. Reasonably priced and we were able to take our dog at no extra cost.
The hotel was convenient for where we wanted to be, it is out of town but within travelling distance. There is plenty of parking space and the staff were friendly.
The entrance to the hotel is a bit scruffy, with a tiled floor that looked as if it had not been cleaned for a while. The hotel did not provide glasses in the room for drinking water. We found it difficult to find the hotel based on their directions, as there is a long-term motorway building project under way which was not well signposted - obviously not the fault of the hotel.
The room was basically fine. The only thing that my wife and I found wrong were the pillows. They were to soft for us but may be alright for someone else. We both enjoyed the breakfast experience.
lovely restaurant and food, wifi in rooms
run down , room not cleaned very well , in their favour it is under new managment...they need to clean and refresh the rooms and hallways, the carpet in the hallway was disgusting
Good, easy accessible hotel that did the trick. Good value for money and fine for a couple of nights.
Room had a musty smell and felt a little damp.
On-site Restaurant, serving a good choice of food at reasonable prices. I did not have to leave the building to go to the Pub next door for Dinner or Breakfast, or collect a plastic bag with a cold Continental Breakfast from Reception !! The Staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive.
The view from the Dining Area windows should have been glorious, as it overlooks the golf course. However, immediately outside was an unscreened Septic Tank (very romantic), and an area with broken / damaged picnic tables, set on bark chippings, the chippings being outnumbered by the fag ends dumped there. Outside the kitchen area fire exit, several items of discarded kitchen equipment were abandoned. There were no curtains / blinds on the windows to reduce the impact of these unsavoury visions. Photos available if required.
I didn't enjoy my stay at the Crowwood, if the stay had not already been paid for I would not have stayed even for the first night. The hotel is in bad need of renovation - or even a decent clean up / carpet in the corridor leading to the rooms. I was very disappointed.
Nice location for the local transport into glasgow so you can leave your car at the hotel Breakfast was excellent Hotel staff very friendly
No reception staff to greet, booking had not been put in their system, so they did not know I was coming! Hotel walkways dirty, carpets un hoovered, 1st room they gave me was dirty, asked to be moved and they did. 2nd room stank of old hoover bags, this lingered the whole night. Window would not close. shower did not work.and if the weather was better I would not have stayed a minute longer. for as excellent as Booked.net are, they have this hotel totally wrong.
Good price when having to book multiple rooms for a family of four and good price on meals
Lack of choice of food on first night which made us reconsider dining again. Previous vist had been given menu indicating breakfast choice but this time with family was not given and staff not very forthcoming on choices so as not to order something that would get thrown out anyway.
Nothing in room about facilities no information about meal times.asked at reception time for breakfast told 8-10am went down at 9am breakfast was over.room looked out to bins and loads of rubbish.will not return
Restaurant, food and staff all very good
Carpets were filthy, room I was in had obviously had a leak and all the paint had bubbled.and walls were stained
